Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
CIC Pittsburgh, a leading supplier of industrial furnaces for the hot dip galvanizing, forging, and heat treating markets, has an immediate need to hire a Service Technician in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of our operations, including design, supply, installation, commissioning, and servicing. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of American manufacturing plants and processes. You will visit production facilities throughout the country, and draw on your maintenance service abilities and technical aptitude, troubleshoot problems, and repair and upgrade industrial furnaces and related combustion and control systems. The variety ensures you will work on something different every day.
Responsibilities
· Overnight travel to plant locations throughout the USA is required.
· Available to work occasional overtime, evenings, and weekends.
· Lifting and carrying 50+ pounds occasionally.
· Climbing ladders and stairs, standing, and squatting for extended periods of time.
· Adherence to safety procedures, requiring you to wear appropriate industrial PPE.
· Will work independently, with other CIC Pittsburgh teammates, and with customer contacts.
· Environmental conditions at customer facilities may be hot or cold, dirty, wet, and noisy.
What You Need to Succeed
· Associates or Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC Technology, or equivalent Military, Professional, or Industrial Experience.
· Experience with industrial furnaces, boilers, or similar equipment is a plus.
· Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
· Self-motivated and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
· Methodical, hands-on troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation and control systems.
· Adept at learning, retaining, and applying new concepts and skills.
· Familiarity with spreadsheets and mathematical calculations.
· Candidates must pass a physical, drug screen, and standard criminal background check.
